Your area of work:
Group Regulatory Strategy (GRS) is responsible for Deutsche Börse Group's (DBG) positioning towards political and regulatory stakeholders and driving the business strategy from a regulatory perspective. It proactively monitors, analyses and assesses the Group's regulatory and political environment. The department consults the Executive Board on current political issues and developments, for example in the areas of strengthening the attractiveness and competitiveness of EU capital markets, stability and efficiency of financial market infrastructures, the adaptation of new technologies (digitalization) and the transformation to a sustainable economy. GRS consists of a team of experts based in Eschborn (headquarter), Brussels, Berlin and Luxembourg. Within GRS, the unit Regulatory Analytics, Research and Academic Relationships is concerned with expanding regulatory intelligence, the economic and political assessment of regulatory initiatives, incorporating academic and empirical analyses, and Deutsche Börse Group's strategic positioning in key political and regulatory developments in the national, European and global context.
Your responsibilities:
- Research, analysis, and assessment of international, European and national political and regulatory initiatives along the value chain of Deutsche Börse Group, preferably with a focus on trading and clearing infrastructures.
- Representation of DBG interest and positioning in industry associations and support outreach activities and relationship management towards political and regulatory stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage DBG’s positioning on regulatory dossiers and political initiatives.
- Preparation of briefing documents, presentations, analytical tools, notes and factsheets for the Executive Board and top management level in German and English.
- Participation in and coordination of group-wide regulatory projects of strategic relevance for DBG.
- Monitoring, analysis and evaluation of academic research and evidence.
Your profile:
- Completed university studies in economics, political or social sciences, or comparable academic degrees.
- Knowledge of the value chain of stock exchanges, financial market infrastructures and (European) financial market regulation.
- Knowledge of political institutions and processes at federal and EU level.
- Very good analytical skills and confidence in dealing with qualitative and quantitative analyses.
- Organizational and communication skills and motivation to work independently.
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
