Deutsche Börse Group’s pre-trade area comprises with Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) and Qontigo two global leading companies empowering investors, corporates and banks with corporate governance, ESG, market intelligence, index and portfolio risk analytics solutions.

The Pre-Trade Strategy team serves as competence center to ensure cohesive strategy development and implementation for the pre-trade area within the overall Deutsche Börse Group strategic framework. 
It has the responsibility to initiate strategic execution with stakeholders and business areas, or, for selected initiatives with major business impact, to drive forward implementation. 

 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Support the development of Deutsche Börse’s long-term global organic and inorganic growth strategy in Deutsche Börse’s pre-trade area
  • Implementation and co-ordination of projects with strategic relevance, including project sourcing, development and planning
  • Preparation of strategic market analyses, decision proposals, status reports for senior management and for respective management meetings
  • Monitoring and pro-active continuous improvement of strategy development and implementation processes
  • Support key strategic projects to ensure in-time and in-budget implementation

 

Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in economics, business administration, or equivalent with excellent results
  • At least one year of experience in strategy consulting, research or corporate strategy/ M&A
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge regarding relevance and functioning of capital markets as well as in-depth understanding of business principles and processes
  • Focus on delivery with results-oriented and structured approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work under pressure with high degree of reliability and autonomy
  • High commitment, motivation and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of quantitative tools and methods
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal, ability to communicate effectively across all seniority levels in English
