Your area of work:

Big Data & Advanced Analytics provides infrastructure and services to enable the development of data science, analytics, and big data solutions by the businesses across the value chain served by Deutsche Börse Group. We standardize and automate processes with modern technologies and frameworks.

As part of our cloud migration and digital transformation journey, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Cloud Solution Architect with a diverse range of skills who brings fresh and innovative ideas and enjoys architecting and designing big data solutions with positive attitude.

In this role you will join a growing and diverse big data experts to cover topics ranging from defining the overall big data architecture including cloud adoption plans, application design, management, and monitoring to supporting the implementation of business use cases in the big data and data science fields in one of the biggest exchanges in the world.

Your responsibilities:

Design and architect Cloud Big Data infrastructure and platform deployments
Define the migration steps of solutions from legacy systems to cloud data platform
Work with other team members to support delivery of additional project components (API, Search)
Promote data collaboration, orchestration, quality, security, access, and ease of use
Improve our existing Cloud Infrastructure regarding security, operation, and cost
Define SLIs and SLOs and educate engineers on various application platform services
Write and maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams and perform tasks in Agile methodology

Your profile:

Deep knowledge in native cloud services IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services; GCP/Azure
Background in DWH, Data Lakes and ETL/ELT tools and processing frameworks such as Spark
Familiarity with big data platforms; Snowflake/Databricks and data architecture; Lakehouse, Data Fabric and Data Mesh is a big plus
Work experience in cloud native container orchestration technologies (GKE/AKS)
Experience in Cloud Assessment & Deployment, as well as end-to-end delivery of cloud-based solutions
Relevant experience in CI/CD pipelines and processing frameworks
Ability to evaluate different big data technologies and database architecture
Strong team player willing to cooperate with colleagues across office locations and functions
Fluency in English
