Clearstream Fund Centre S.A. Compliance Function works in close coordination with the individual business units and group control functions to ensure adherence to national and international laws and regulations applicable to various units of Deutsche Börse Group and its business activities.

The Compliance Function has a proactive role in the identification of possible compliance or reputational risks, including those that may arise in connection with new activities and products.

The Compliance Function adheres to group-wide compliance policies, supports their consistent application across group entities, and provides centralized services in areas including the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, international financial sanctions, anti-corruption, data protection, and the prevention of conflicts of interest and related securities law requirements.

Members of the Compliance Function will not only gain experience with various compliance responsibilities, but also have exposure to a broad range of business insights linked to Clearstream Fund Centre`s business activities.

 

Your responsibilities

 

  • Organisation of the Compliance Function and Framework: Maintenance and update of internal compliance policies, as relevant to business activities. Play an active and leading role in organising the Compliance Function within a newly established set up. Contribute to the design and set up of the various tools used by the compliance team during the process of performing their day-to-day tasks and obligations
  • Legal inventory and regulatory watch at the entity and related entity level: Identification, analysis, and monitoring of regulatory obligations and requirements in Luxembourg and EU countries, official guidance, and market practices applicable to current or future business activities of Clearstream Fund Centre S.A. Luxembourg and the related entities
  • Risk assessments and market insights: Contribution to the preparation, development, and maintenance of relevant compliance risk assessments. Participation in relevant working groups of professional organisations such as ALFI, ALCO, ABBL etc., to observe and analyse market trends and propose strategic positioning towards such trends and topics
  • Regulatory correspondence and correspondence with external and internal Auditors: Coordination of the communication with supervisory and law enforcement authorities. Support internal and/or external audit requests and findings on the Compliance Function.
  • New Product Process: Assessment and advising form the 2nd line of defense perspective on new products, services and markets as well as participation and contribution in the internal Material Change Processes Working Group
  • Reporting: Contribute to the reporting requirements of the Compliance Function and draft presentations for the various governing bodies (Compliance Committees and Executive Boards), as required
  • Compliance Trainings: Develop and maintain in-person trainings for specific compliance topics on regulatory matters, in addition to the established online trainings.

 

 

Your profile

 

  • University degree in law, economics, finance or a relevant comparable qualification
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in a law firm, finance industry, compliance or a supervisory authority
  • Knowledge of the relevant regulatory requirements relevant to group entities (Luxembourg and EU countries) – MiFID certificate or a deep knowledge in the field as well as knowledge in the Investment Fund area is a strong advantage
  • Capacity of stress management and working under high level of pressure from different stakeholders
  • Communication and negotiation skills, including ability to present complex matters in a clear and comprehensive way
  • Strong analytical skills and a sense of detail and organizational skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Strong individual initiative, high level commitment and motivation
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required. French or German is a strong plus
