Deutsche Börse Group is strengthening its position as leader in creating the marketplace of the future. The CIO/COO/Chief Technology Officer area of Deutsche Börse Group is responsible for ensuring an effective alignment between Business and Technology Strategy whilst enabling Deutsche Börse Group to execute new Technology Opportunities. As Data Governance Lead you are responsible to ensure that data is managed as a corporate asset. You offer guidance and support for leadership and staff across all segments. You define and govern group-wide Data Management standards and best practices to ensure seamless flow of data across the DBG organisation of DBG. 

To strengthen the team, we are looking for an experienced Data Governance Lead (f/m/d) to take responsibility in an interesting and dynamic international environment.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Is accountable for the Data Management and Governance function of DBG, defining and maintaining the group wide DMG TOM, including policies, standards, processes and templates
  • Accountable for implementation of global DMG framework and standards within the data domains
  • Oversees and coordinates data governance activities across the DBG, monitors progress via KPIs
  • Promotes Data Governance practices and mindset across the organisation
  • Is the main point of contact for DMG-related enquiries
  • Supports data domains, ensuring they operate within governance boundaries by providing guidance on best practices and processes
  • Ensures that published data products are using the standardized metadata templates and are discoverable, accessible and interoperable
  • Initiates programs and training sessions aimed at fostering a data-driven mindset. This involves educating stakeholders and promoting practices that align with data mesh principles 
  • Owns and maintains the DBG Data Domain model, i.e., an organised inventory of data assets, ensuring they adhere to governance standards and are easily accessible within the data mesh framework.
  • Is accountable for the maintenance of a group wide aligned terminology and the mapping with metadata in the Business Glossary of Enterprise Data Catalog tool
  • Is accountable organization of a central Data Governance Council and chairs the Data Governance Council
  • Approves standards and requirements defined by the Data Governance Council

    

Your profile:

  • University Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science or similar
  • 3 - 5 years of working experience in Information Technology or IT consulting
  • Experience in different data domain models, ideally in the financial industry
  • Strong analytical, data modelling and data architecture skills
  • Process design background with experience in data platforms, data sourcing, data products and data cataloguing solutions
  • Good knowledge on concepts like Business Glossary, data lineage, data classification, data quality and profiling
  • Experience with implementing data management processes and governance frameworks, ideally federated models in organisations with rich value chains
  • Experience in managing organizational change
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English
