Your area of work:
In your new position, you will be part of the IT Strategy / Chief of Staff department in the CIO/COO division of Deutsche Börse Group. The team is responsible for IT Strategy development, supports leadership- and target management processes and acts as interface between the executive management, corporate central functions and the business segments of Deutsche Börse Group.

We are looking for colleagues who have a “self-starter” mentality, the ability and motivation to deliver on projects, combined with good project management-, communication and implementation skills. 

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Development and execution of IT related ESG strategy in close alignment with central functions and with focus on regulatory- and reporting requirements 
  • Steering of transformation towards carbon footprint reduction and adoption of “sustainability by design” principles for the IT organisation
  • Participation of ESG-related audits (in close collaboration with colleagues from group functions)
  • Project execution in all ESG areas with direct focus on the IT environment
  • Review and analysis of trends around ESG, including the execution of benchmarks and studies related to the technology arena
  • Act as central contact in the CIO/ COO division regarding ESG topics 
  • Support further team-related topics such as IT-Strategy, communication or centrally steered initiatives

 

Your profile:

  • Academic degree in information technology, economics, business administration or similar degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in the field of ESG/ sustainability, ideally in relation to IT and in driving ESG/ sustainability initiatives
  • Knowledge about common sustainability standards and requirements (e.g. GRI, UN guiding principles, EU taxonomy, SBTI)
  • Experience in driving and supporting projects and working in global cross functional teams (Project Management certificate such as PMP/ PMI is a plus)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, experience on senior executive level 
  • Excellent analytical skills, structured working method and a passion for problem-solving 
  • Independent way of working and a dynamic environment with a high sense of responsibility in task delivery and result orientation
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English in speaking and writing
