Your area of work
The Group Risk Governance & Internal Control team is responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive internal control framework for all entities of Deutsche Börse Group (DBG). This includes coordinating and guiding the implementation on entity level performed by local 1st and 2nd line of defence functions, providing training and support materials and monitoring / overseeing the overall ICS implementation from a Group perspective. Furthermore, the alignment of the internal control framework of Deutsche Börse Group with other frameworks, e.g. for Operational Risk, Business Continuity Management, Group Compliance and Group Security as well as ensuring continuous collaboration with other control functions is a key objective.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, continued development and documentation of a Group-wide ICS framework, including the preparation and alignment of policies, supporting materials, guidelines etc. 
  • Provide advice and challenge to existing and new business and operations areas with regards to the implementation and optimization of controls in order to address/minimize identified risks on an ongoing basis (e.g. in case of changes)
  • Perform control assurance measures and facilitate Risk and Control Self-Assessments owned and performed by the 1st Line of Defence to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls
  • Support effective remediation of identified Control Deficiencies owned by the 1st Line of Defence, including the review of planned actions, the ongoing monitoring of implementation measures and the re-assessment after completion
  • Monitor the overall effectiveness of the ICS and prepare ICS Reporting to senior and executive management
  • Support the design, implementation and maintenance of an effective end-to-end risk governance framework including a holistic approach to risk controlling and reporting 

 
Your profile

  • University or similar degree in a relevant field 
  • Experience in Operational Risk Management or Internal Control – with a focus on financial services/banking/financial market infrastructure providers 
  • Good knowledge of relevant regulation (MaRisk, CSSF 12/552, CSDR, etc.) and COSO, COBIT/ITIL frameworks
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, creativity, critical thinking, as well as ability to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills 
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English
  • Knowledge of SAP GRC is an advantage
