As an international central securities depository (ICSD) headquartered in Luxembourg, Clearstream Banking S.A. operates the post-trading business – i.e. issuance, settlement and custody – for the Eurobond market and services for securities from over 55 domestic markets worldwide.

 

Your area of work

 

Reporting to the Global Head and as the regional head of the Investment Funds Services Sales & Relationship Management team, you will be responsible for growing the revenue generated from your region both from existing and new clients. You will also be responsible for growing the number of clients that we have.

 

You are expected to have a technical understanding of our suite of Investment Funds Services products, specifically Vestima and Fund Centre, specifically targeted to the Wealth Managers, Private Bank, Fund Platform, and the Banking sector.  You are also asked to improve both the quality of our services, and the depth of our relationships.

 

Together with a team of experts in relationship management and sales, you will be a key part of a growing the commercial team and significantly contributing to the Investment Fund Services EDID (Execution, Distribution, Innovation, Data) strategy.

 

Your responsibilities

 

  • Development of a business plan (strategy, revenue targets, account plans, etc.) for your region
  • Reaching agreed business and revenue targets
  • Revenue Growth & Cost Containment (P&L responsibility)
  • Selling our services to new and existing customers
  • Managing your customers on a day-to-day basis and building lasting relationships with them
  • Serving as the escalation point for customers and acting as a role model for your team
  • Managing your team and supporting them in their day-to-day activities 
  • Coordinating the work of account planning in the region
  • Managing the pipeline regularly with your team members 
  • Ensuring that your team is equipped to do their job
  • Serving as a point of reference and escalation for our clients as well as your team
  • Representing and being seen as the face of Clearstream IFS in your region
  • Ensuring that AML/KYC is executed and correct for all customers in the region.

 

Your profile

 

  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or another relevant subject
  • Good team management skills 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation skills, customer focus and service orientation
  • Experience of managing large and strategic client relationships
  • Good understanding of banking products and processes in the funds industry
  • Good general knowledge of Banking, Asset Managers and Global Custodians 
  • Sensitivity towards cultural differences
  • Capacity to work independently, a curious state of mind, results orientation
  • Languages: English and French. Knowledge of any other language would be an additional asset
  • Occasional travel will be expected.
