Your career at Deutsche Börse Group

Reporting to the Head of Section, the Head of Unit is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of Clearstream Fund Services (CFS) related activities within Global Fund Operations department.

 

The Head of Unit is responsible for various key functions across Global Funds Operations (D). These functions include:

  • Oversee daily operations around functional areas; Vestima Prime Trade Authorization, Outgoing Payments, Cash assignment, further operational functions to be defined.
  • Ensure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to mitigate risk, ensure operational efficiency, and support organic growth of the business
  • Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports
  • Manages resources to achieve business objectives and ensures the highest standard of work is completed within the team. 


Your Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of and ensure individual, team and department objectives and targets are set, communicated, and actively managed.
  • Act as a point of escalation both internally and for clients, providing timely advice, support and coaching as necessary.
  • People Management – conduct appraisals and identify and address developmental needs. Motivate staff to achieve objectives and promote teamwork and sharing of ideas and knowledge.
  • Ensure open communication throughout the team; hold regular team meetings and communicate feedback to/from management as appropriate.
  • Actively participate in meetings. Provide updates on team progress and priorities to Senior Management.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset and promote this culture within your team to seek out and implement better ways of achieving objectives, preventing issues reoccurring, and automating and streamlining processes. 
  • Liaise and build relationships with counterparts in other Clearstream locations.
  • Review and approval of departmental reporting. Collate, analyze and produce statistics and reports for Senior Management.  
  • Promote awareness and ensure adherence to all policies & procedures within the team and ensure team procedures are documented.
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness and prevention. Facilitate the prompt resolution of complex client issues.
  • Lead Projects.
  • Liaise and build relationships with counterparts in other Clearstream locations.
  • Growth of team to take on new functions and tasks and incorporate a training plan to ensure successful transition of these tasks 

 

Your Profile

  • A minimum of 5 year’s experience in the Financial Services/Funds industry and a well-developed understanding of business context and processes.
  • Demonstrate an ability to develop and mentor team members
  • Proactive and highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem solver with excellent analytical skills.
