Your area of work

 

As a Cyber Risk intern, part of the 2nd line of defense, you will contribute in securing our Clearstream Fund Services (CFS) business, a paramount requirement to build trust with our clients while embracing innovation and thriving for technological excellence. CFS provide fund order execution and settlement, fund units custody and fund data and distribution support services.

What do we do as part of Cyber Risk management?

We understand the strategic goals of our business, the expectations of our clients and regulators, then identify, manage, and report on the cyber risks to our organization that could prevent us from meeting these goals and expectations.

We find factual answers to questions such as who are the cyber threat actors that may harm our organization and how? Do we have the right safeguards to protect us, our data and IT systems? Are these safeguards operating effectively? Do we know and manage the cyber risks when launching a new strategic IT system or migrating critical workload to the cloud? Are there critical vulnerabilities in our IT environment and are we addressing them in a timely manner? Do we comply with applicable IT and security regulations?

 

Your responsibilities

  • Support in reporting our cyber risk posture to the company’s Board,

  • Review security risk assessments and risk treatment plans,

  • Monitor vulnerabilities in our IT systems and their timely resolution,

  • Identify and monitor relevant cyber threats and update our threat landscape,

  • Support in addressing due diligence queries from clients about our information security,

  • Assess compliance with applicable IT/security regulatory requirements.

 

Your profile

  • You are passionate about IT and/or cybersecurity and interested in the financial sector,

  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree programme with a focus on IT and/or cybersecurity (open to other fields such as auditing or risk management with a minor in IT/cyber),

  • You have a good understanding of basic IT infrastructure elements (e.g. application, database, operating system, network, cloud) and security concepts (e.g. confidentiality/integrity/availability objectives, types of cyberattacks, types of security controls),

  • You are proficient in written and spoken English,

  • You are proficient in MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint,

  • Knowledge of information security frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001 is an asset.

 

Start date: 15 October 2023

Duration: 6 months full-time
