Your area of work
Risk IT is an IT Product of Deutsche Börse. Our team focuses mainly on providing IT solutions for Eurex Clearing, the clearinghouse of Deutsche Börse. We help to maintain and further develop Eurex Clearing’s industry leadership in risk management and support the growth into new products and markets. In short: We are at the heart of the Deutsche Börse Group’s market infrastructure offering and of utter importance for the stability of the global financial market.

We are now looking for a student to join our Eschborn based Core Services team for a 3-months internship. You will have the opportunity to learn how we develop software for critical market infrastructure, understand our application landscape and tap into our vision for the future Risk IT services. Your mentor will help you to settle in and connect to our talents and other interns in the Risk area.

Your responsibilities:

You will support the Risk IT Core Services team in their Business-As-Usual tasks.
You will follow the progress of the implementation pipeline and maintain the respective status in JIRA.
You will help maintaining JIRA dashboards that are the basis for internal tracking and reporting.
You will support the monthly status reporting of system availability metrics.
You will assist to track the fast mitigation of newly identified software vulnerabilities.
As part of the team, you will complete a dedicate implementation project by the end of your internship (meet the R7 project team and help them to illustrate the features of the Core Services of tomorrow by producing short Manim-Animations).

Your profile:

You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a university, studying a technical subject (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Business Informatics or similar) and have completed at least 4 semesters.
You have already gained experience in Python. Knowledge of Manim would be an advantage.
You show interest in financial markets and professional software development.
You are willing to learn, self-reflective and a team player with good communications skills.
You are experienced with JIRA.
You are fluent in written and spoken English; German would be an advantage.
