Field of activity
The Strategy & Initiatives unit is a part of the Clearing and FIFF Strategy & Development Department of Eurex Clearing, responsible for the strategy-, business- and product development of listed and OTC derivatives, as well as repo and securities lending transactions. The Strategy & Initiatives unit tracks political, regulatory, and economic activity in the EU and wider world, working to increase the clearing of euro-denominated derivatives in the EU and to bring the economic benefits of clearing to the wider financial markets.
- You will participate in ongoing strategic clearing projects and support activities
- You will support the preparation of important documents for the committees of Deutsche Börse Group
- In addition you will help with the preparation of presentations with regards to the content and design
- You will research and support the analysis of business trends and market and regulatory developments
- Furthermore, you will regularly review and update policies, procedures and handbooks for Eurex Clearing students, interns and full-time employees
- You will help processing organizational and administrative tasks
- You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student
(Ideally in the field of Business, Finance, Economics, Business Informatics, Management or similar. You should have completed at least two semesters prior to the start of the internship)
- You have a keen interest in financial markets and in current events which may affect an exchange or CCP (Brexit, politics, EMIR/Dodd Frank, financial crises, etc.)
- You also have a good organizational ability as well as communication and team skills
- You have a very good knowledge in MS Office (especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
- You are proficient in written and spoken English.
