Investment Funds Service IT builds and maintains several applications to provide our Clearstream customers with performing and efficient tools to manage Investment Funds Order Routing and Transfer, Custody or Settlement activities over multiple types of media including SWIFT 15022, 20022, Front-End, Fax, etc.
We are looking for a dedicated Investment Funds Services (CFS) IT Operation –Lead Application Support Engineer (M/F) to join our CFS IT centre in Luxembourg and help us to support the functional and technical test cycles (from Integration Test till the implementation in Production) of our Post Trade systems. Our requirements in terms of complex functionality, high reliability and availability will thoroughly challenge your testing skills and provide opportunities for continuous improvement. You will report directly to IT OPS Head of unit and work in close collaboration with him acting as deputy when required .
Your responsibilities
Overseeing the Application Support team by organising and planning work in line and recurring activities
Becoming the ‘go-to’ person for Business Engineering and developers/testers for release management and production readiness criteria
Providing software/business application support in a cross-functional delivery model
Performing analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements
Ensuring effective front-end and back-end functionality of applications
Collaborating with the software development engineers, testers, business analysts and internal/external users in order to improve application performance
Managing code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronised functionality
Establishing the root causes of application errors and ensure timely resolution
Keeping a record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates/upgrades
Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics
Contributing significantly to SDLC on the Ops part
Your profile
Diploma in IT and 2-5 years of proven professional experience in a similar position or a senior position
Technical skills in the following domains are essential:
Linux (RedHat) operating system: expert skills as users (ksh, csh, etc.) and basic skills as System Administrators.
Good knowledge of JBOSS or Weblogic.
Windows operating system basic skills (start/stop/monitor of services, powershell, administration).
Good knowledge of SQL.
Cloud Technologies -Infrastructure : Ms Azure , GCP .
Additional skills in one or more of the following areas will be of advantage:
Oracle Database Administration knowledge.
Knowledge of batch scheduler UC4.
Knowledge of Automation tools like Jenkins , Terraform ,Ansible
Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering or Ability to Improve robustness, monitoring , alerting via tools/scripts development.
