Your area of work:

You as IT Product Manager will work in the Deutsche Börse IT division. For our internal customer, the Trading Surveillance Office (TSO), an initiative was raised to introduce a new state of the art IT application for market surveillance. TSO monitors the markets and is responsible for detecting manipulation activities or illegal trading practices.

You will manage this new application in all IT matters as central contact point between the technical operations teams, TSO, and the external service provider. You will contribute significantly to the surveillance capabilities of Deutsche Börse. 

Initially you will manage the implementation project and go-live, as well as align processes between the various stakeholders. This will give you the opportunity to learn many technical details about the application and the interface landscape of the organization. 

After the go-live, you will proactively improve the system from a technical and IT-security perspective and manage requests of all involved parties. This includes for example functional changes requested by the business or technical changes imposed through mandatory updates of the application in use.

Your responsibilities:

  • IT Product Management and End-To-End-Responsibility for the new surveillance application
  • Being the central contact point within Deutsche Börse (IT Operations, Business, internal data delivery functions) and outside of Deutsche Börse (external service provider that provides the customized software)
  • Handling and liaising functional requests between TSO and the service provider
  • Taking care of regular software releases and updates
  • Ensuring proper design and execution of technical testing
  • Supporting measures to improve IT Security topics


Your profile:

  • You have a university degree in computer science, business computer science and/or a comparable education
  • You are detail oriented and curious about understanding complex dataflows between various systems 
  • You have a good understanding of enterprise technology stacks. You are well versed in terms like sub-net, SAN, SQL, SFTP, CI/CD Pipeline, Git, High Availability, etc.
  • In a previous position you worked in a technical role yourself
  • You are highly self-driven, communicative and have a solution-oriented attitude
  • You are proficient in written and spoken English and German language


The following will be a plus:

  • You have experience in data analysis using SQL or Excel
  • You have experience in financial markets, especially in a surveillance-related area
