Your area of work

Within our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) department we focus on digitization and automation of business processes. Our Automation Solutions units provide guidance to individual automation use case initiatives. This spans from Centre of Excellence type of help, through provisioning and support of automation tools and platforms, to forming project teams and/or providing automation implementations.

We are driven by User Experience and Efficiency, whilst maintaining both Compliance, Agility of approaches and Flexibility needed in the context of dynamically changing ecosystem of tools and processes. Our mission is to free up human resources to do complex and advance tasks instead of spending time and effort on repetitive, mundane, and automatable activities.

We support Low-code development platform Mendix, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platform Blue Prism, in house-built platform and application Albert with microservices for OCR, Data Mining, NLP, automated document classification, and many other relates features. Our project methodology is using Agile software development principles of Scrum@DBG framework. Our governance framework spans from simple automation cases all the way to MCP governed critical and material changes.

The project and change processes in our company are complex to satisfy extensive regulatory and compliance requirements. We are looking for a self-driven leader with an experience in managing change and development projects in wide variety of governing contexts and implementation project styles.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Design, development and maintenance of microservices, communication platform and other Java implemented aspects of Albert automation platform
  • Production and update of technical documentation
  • Assurance of individual and team code quality and coding standards
  • Member of a delivery and support Scrum/Kanban team
  • Assistance with technical architecture and functional vision designs  

 

Your profile

  • University degree in a computer-based discipline.
  • Practical experience with development of standard & enterprise Java applications (5 years or more)
  • Excellent Java programming skills
  • Experience with SQL databases
  • Experience with version control (GIT, GitHub) and issue tracking (JIRA) systems
  • Familiar with Agile SDLC style, foundations and practices
  • Experience working in financial sector is an advantage
  • The candidate must be a self-starter and will work closely with a small development team reporting to the team leader
  • Experience with following technologies and concepts is a plus:
    • Javascript/jquery/bootstrap
    • Java EE backend technologies e.g. JPA (Hibernate), JMS (AMQ, OAQ), EJB, Apache Camel
    • Frontend technologies: ReactJS
    • Java EE Application Servers e.g. JBoss
    • UML usage, design patterns
    • Jenkins, Sonar integration tools
    • Low code technologies: Power App, Power Automate, Mendix, BluePrism
    • Cloud awareness: GCP data flow, Azure message bus, AIP patterns, Pub/Sub concepts, Even based architectures
    • Knowledge of testing tools such as Junit, Mocking Frameworks, Cucumber
