Field of activity

The REM section operates and develops the risk management systems for all markets cleared by Eurex Clearing. We monitor and manage the market’s and the members’ risk situation in real time. We are also the first point of contact for questions about risk management from EurexClearing’s clients. Our hands-on know-how enables us to make an impact on the implementation of several strategic projects of Deutsche Börse, especially the development of the ETD offering. The product universe that is covered by the Risk team includes listed Equity and Fixed Income derivatives, Fixed income, Repo and SecuritiesLending. As the CCP Risk Management Officer you

support the proper execution of the daily clearing house business with respect to the risk situation of Eurex Clearing for the related markets/exchanges Eurex, Xetra, Eurex Repo, and OTC traded swaps.

 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Support compliant and efficient clearing house risk management of Eurex Clearing AG by executing standardized risk management processes
  • Setup of new products and risk parameters
  • Performance of ad-hoc and regular operational risk analysis
  • Monitoring our customers’ portfolios and triggering the respective mitigating actions
  • Execution of analysis on collateral eligibility management
  • Define and communicate Risk Management requirements to IT
  • Support Risk Management projects and new initiatives

 

Qualifications/required skills

  • University degree in finance, business administration or economics with financial focus and/or a comparable training or professional experience in the sector
  • Knowledge in financial risk management
  • Knowledge of database, MS Access, VBA and SQL
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; German language skills will be an asset
  • Knowledge of listed equity and fixed income derivatives,
  • Quick comprehension, ability to work under pressure, reliability and responsibility
  • High degree of flexibility and a strong customer focus
  • Commitment and willingness to work shifts including availability on public holidays
