Your area of work
The unit Business Continuity Management (U) oversees and controls the Business Continuity Management Framework of Deutsche Börse Group (DBG), which is deployed to mitigate unavailability risk for key resources in order to minimize the impact of potential operational disruptions to DBG entities.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage a team of BCM professionals within a matrix organisational set up – cross location 
  • Coordinate the team’s activities while ensuring a tight and harmonic cooperation cross-location
  • Represent the BCM Function vis-a-vis Decision making bodies, e.g. Executive Management and Supervisory Authorities 
  • Drive the maintenance and enhancement of the already established business continuity management (BCM) system and related governance framework (second line of defence)
  • Enhance the BCM second line of defence oversight on Business and IT Operations
  • Coordinate the performance of the yearly Business Impact Analysis process 
  • Coordinate the regular maintenance of continuity plans by the first line of defence
  • Coordinate the execution and reporting of BCM tests
  • Drive the continuous improvement of a recently launched BCM tool
  • Support and advice the first line of defence in developing appropriate BCM response structures (call-trees) to enable the activation of continuity plans. 
  • Interact with other control functions like Information Security, Outsourcing and Risk Management
  • Provide input and support to key projects and change initiatives
  • Interact with external BCM interest groups/organizations and keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry best practices

Your profile

  • Proven track record in Business Continuity Management or other Risk Management disciplines
  • Proven track record in people management 
  • Very good knowledge of Business Continuity Management practices and protocols, including international BCM standards promoted by BCI/DR/ISO and relevant regulations (MaRisk, EMIR, CSDR, BAIT, DORA, etc.)
  • Previous experience in developing and maintaining an incident & crisis management process for (complex) matrix organisations would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge and/or previous experience on the following topics would be a plus: operational resilience; vendor management and vendor resilience; IT Continuity & Cyber resilience
  • Good knowledge of the operational risk profile and business model of Deutsche Börse Group (DBG) 
  • Fluency in English (German would be desired)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical skills, creativity, critical thinking and the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
