Your area of work:
Deutsche Börse Group is one of the world’s leading providers of market infrastructure. We operate highly secure and innovative systems that ensure the smooth functioning of global financial markets. To strengthen our Network Engineering team, we are looking for a motivated and skilled Network Specialist with a strong background in software development.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative tasks on traditional Cisco network devices and within our ACI-based software-defined network environment.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation tools and scripts to manage and optimize network operations (e.g., using Python, TCL, Java).
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional IT teams on infrastructure projects and strategic initiatives.
Your Profile:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Solid hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and ACI environments.
- Strong understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation within Cisco environments.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills – able to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Independent and self-driven working style with a high sense of responsibility.
- Team player with a proactive and structured approach to work.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); German language skills are a plus.
Nice to Have:
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
- Experience with project management and time-sensitive deliverables.
- Familiarity with agile working methods and intercultural collaboration.
