Your area of work:
In recent years, Deutsche Börse has built a data lake platform based on Big Data technology. And our target is to optimize all existing processes, plus also to develop new ones.
You will join a stable team which consists of both young and seasoned professionals with necessary functional know-how. As the backend developer in unit “Application Development for Cash Datawarehouse” you will be responsible for assigned applications, which store and process trading data from multiple stock exchange markets, including Xetra Frankfurt – a key part of Deutsche Börse landscape. Services contain as well data analysis and communication with internal customers.
We understand that you might not have a profound functional knowledge in financial markets and stock exchanges. Rest assured that you will be sufficiently trained for the new role to maximize your individual potential and impact.
Your Responsibilities
- Development in Spark/Scala
- Reading input from HDFS, HBase/Phoenix, Kafka
- Evaluating trading data, like surveillance alerts or rating of Market Makers
- Maintaining batch flow via Control-M
- Creating data queries in Zeppelin
Your Profile
- Experience with Big data (Hadoop, Spark)
- Experience with software development (ideally Scala or Java)
- At least 1 year of experience on similar position
- Fluent English is a must
- Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Awareness of financial markets and quality assurance
- Willingness and patience to get familiar with large systems
