Your area of work:

Big Data & Advanced Analytics provides infrastructure and services to enable the development of data science, analytics, and big data solutions by the businesses across the value chain served by Deutsche Börse Group. We standardize and automate processes with modern technologies and frameworks.

 

As a Data Catalog Admin, you will contribute to our organization’s efforts in building and implementing Data Mesh concepts along with Data Governance framework across the enterprise. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, manage data catalog operations, ensure data lineage, and drive data governance initiatives. If you have experience with Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) tools, cloud platforms, and a passion for data quality, this role is for you!

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain enterprise data catalog, ensuring accurate and up-to-date metadata.
  • Explore solution architectures, recommendations, and approaches, aiming for End-to-End Data Lineage.
  • Implement data catalog best practices.
  • Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to curate data product assets.
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and managers to understand data requirements.
  • Communicate data governance initiatives and progress effectively.

 

Your profile:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience on similar position.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and data classification.
  • Familiarity with data management technologies, data modeling, and data integration concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and processing (e.g., Databricks, Google BigQuery).
  • Experience in developing processes, roles, and responsibilities in the context of data governance and quality assurance.
  • Experience with data mesh and/or data catalog tools (e.g., Atlan, Collibra) is a big plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong team player willing to cooperate with colleagues across office locations and functions.
  • Very strong English language skills are a must.
