Your area of work:

You will join a dynamic team responsible for the databases that power a next-generation market infrastructure for fund distribution. In this role, you will be central to managing the integrity, security, and performance of our data within a cloud-native, microservice-based environment that interfaces with blockchain/DLT components. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding data consistency and quality across the entire platform, ensuring our systems are reliable, coherent, and secure. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Compliance teams to drive data excellence.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain production, staging, and development databases in a cloud-native environment to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Lead the planning and execution of client data migrations, including extraction, transformation, validation, and secure import.
  • Maintain and evolve the platform’s logical and physical data models in collaboration with architects and engineers.
  • Implement and monitor data quality controls, referential integrity, and reconciliation rules to ensure data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations by partnering with Security and Compliance teams on access controls, encryption, and auditability.
  • Design, implement, and operate a central data warehouse and associated ETL/ELT pipelines to consolidate data for analytics.
  • Enable Business Intelligence (BI) by building and maintaining the data layer to support self-service dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to support feature delivery, schema updates, and integration of database operations into CI/CD pipelines.

 

 Your profile:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4–8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, Data Engineer, or in a similar data-focused role.
  • Strong expertise in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, CosmosDB).
  • Proven experience with data migrations, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality assurance in a professional environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and query optimization.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, microservice architectures, and distributed data patterns.
  • Experience managing databases in cloud environments (e.g., Azure SQL) and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; professional fluency is required.
