Field of activity

 

FINOPS Prague is part of the Financial Accounting & Controlling department of Deutsche Börse Group. FINOPS Prague is mainly responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking management and general ledger accounting, master data governance and master data management activities as well as further related topics. The section acts as a service provider for Deutsche Börse Group companies especially in Germany and Luxembourg. The section is responsible for general ledger accounting of different Group Branches including full responsibility for Czech Statutory Reporting. The section is involved in monthly, quarterly as well as year-end closing.

 

You will act as accountant to support the existing team. You will shoulder responsibility in various areas of the accounting including but not limited to bank accounts processing, bank accounts/bank interim accounts reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, active clarification with accounting departments of customers, posting of general and specific provisions for bad debts, etc. You will work within a framework of the overall accounting department spread over some locations in Europe. In this function, you will be reporting to the Head of General Accounting Services & Banks Unit.

 

Tasks/responsibilities

 

·       Ensure proper reconciled accounts on an on-going basis

·       Ensure correct postings and account allocation

·       Active clarification of customer inquiries relating to payments allocation

·       Co-operate with accountants from other locations to secure proper statutory accounts, tax reports and regulatory reporting

·       Support colleagues and transfer own knowledge

 

 

 

Qualifications/required skills

 

·       Certified accountant or similar education

·       Experience in accounting (more than 2 years)

·       Experience in SAP S/4 FI would be advantage

·       Proficiency in written and spoken English – German knowledge of advantage

·       Good analytical skills and care for detail

·       Strong communication skills

·       Willingness to learn
