The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) area is at the heart of the Information Technology division of Deutsche Börse Group. The CTO area develops and operates the group-wide IT infrastructure (network, data centers and Cloud), the Group Data & Advanced Analytics and the Enterprise Architecture which significantly contribute to Deutsche Börse Group overall strategy. The CTO area drives digital transformation and leverages innovation while keeping production operations stable are the core pillars of the shared services.
We’re looking for a motivated, visionary, and skilled Frontend Engineer to join our team supporting the DBG Marketplace - a central platform in Deutsche Börse Group’s digital ecosystem. As part of our agile development team, you will contribute to building and evolving user-facing features, ensuring a seamless experience for both internal and external users. You’ll be expected to collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and product managers, take ownership of frontend components, and help shape the technical direction of the platform. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful features, improve development workflows, and contribute to a product used across the organization.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain user-facing features for the DBG Marketplace using modern frontend technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver intuitive and performant user interfaces.
- Implement and maintain reusable components and frontend architecture using React and TypeScript.
- Integrate with RESTful APIs and ensure smooth data flow between frontend and backend systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform’s usability, accessibility, and performance.
- Write unit and integration tests using Jest and Playwright to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and code reviews to support team collaboration and continuous improvement.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and REST APIs.
- Experience with TanStack Query, React Hook Form, and Tailwind CSS.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest; experience with Playwright is a plus.
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English; German or French is a plus.
