Your area of work:

Within our Post Trade IT area we operate and develop the IT infrastructure, systems and applications of our post trading and issuance as well as funds business.

The Central Post Trade IT Office acts as counterpart for all departments within and beyond the CIO/COO division regarding management, planning, controlling and future development of the Post Trade / Clearstream IT.

 

As IT & Project Controller you enable all Post Trade IT Product and related Legal Entity managers to fully concentrate on their core competencies by leveraging on best-practice approaches for finance and vendor management tasks and execution in a highly regulated environment.

Your responsibilities:

Plan activities

  • Coordinate the budget planning process for Operational and Capital Expenditures, internal capacity (valuated hours) allocation, Projects/Operations budgets of your area of responsibility
  • Compile budget overviews and ensure final alignment with the stakeholder for your area of responsibility
  • Review and challenge quarterly forecasts of your area(s) of responsibility

Monitoring & Reporting activities

  • Monitor on an ongoing basis your area of responsibility and ensure actuals remain within budget
  • Analyse deviations between actual and budgeted costs and provide comments on deviations for monthly reporting
  • Work closely together with line managers and project managers to steer the cash out, capitalization and cost as well as initiate steering actions if needed
  • Identify risks and initiate mitigation actions for your area(s) of responsibility

Support the development of the Plan & Control Unit

  • Ensure harmonisation, standardisation and documentation of the relevant processes
  • Design and implement standardised and automated dashboards in SAC
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements
  • Establish relationships with your Clearstream IT, Business and Deutsche Börse Group counterparts on relevant topics

 

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • 5+ years of experience with budget planning (OpEx & CapEx) as well as variation analysis and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SAP or equivalent financial software
  • Affinity for the IT function
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to work with and interpret financial data
  • Ability to work in a cross-location international team
  • Team player with good communication skills
