Your area of work
The unit Risk Framework & Governance is responsible for the continuous development, improvement and maintenance of the Risk Framework as well as of the Risk Governance of the Clearstream Group and all covered entities to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance with applicable laws and regulations in order to support a robust risk and control environment.
Your responsibilities
- Perform the continuous development, improvement, and maintenance of the Non-Financial Risk & multiple Risk Frameworks of Clearstream Group including risk assessment, risk models, stress-testing methodologies, further instruments as well as roles and responsibilities for Operational, Business, Reputational and Pension Risk Management
- Regular reviews and updates of policies, procedures, and handbooks in line with regulation and industry best practices
- Prepare conceptual and methodological improvements of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) for Clearstream entities including maintenance, development, and documentation of Non-Financial Risk models and support the maintenance of Financial Risk framework
- Perform required Pillar II calculations for risk reporting, capital, and strategy planning, incl the implementation of SREP requirements for respective Clearstream entities
- Coordinate regular and ad-hoc risk reporting and support the performance of risk reviews (esp. specific issues in the context of operational risk)
- Provide guidance to the Clearstream Risk Controlling teams (e.g. Non-Financial Risk Management) and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the framework and risk governance aspects
- Provide timely analytical commentary and insights regarding the Risk Framework environment and esp. new regulations to applicable governance forums and senior management
- Contribute to audits and annual reports
Your profile
- Relevant university degree in the field of economics, business studies, legal / compliance or other relevant fields
- Minimum 5 years professional working experience in developing and implementing Risk Frameworks with a focus on policy & procedure frameworks, risk assessment, risk models, stress-testing, etc.
- Experience in Non-Financial Risk Management with a focus on financial services/banking/financial market infrastructure providers would be an advantage
- Ability to explain complex concepts to non-experts, to see the big picture as well as the detail
- Very good knowledge of relevant regulation (SREP, ICAAP, CSSF 12/552, CSDR, ESG related regulations/ guidelines, KWG, MaRisk, etc.)
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, creativity, critical thinking, as well as ability to identify problems and propose solutions
- Very good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in written and verbal English, German and/ or French would be an advantage
- Very good command of MS Office
