Your area of work

The responsibilities of the Derivatives Clearing Design section at Eurex Clearing AG include designing, implementing, and maintaining clearing functionalities for both listed and Fixed Income OTC derivatives. It further ensures ECAG’s compliance with its global regulatory transaction reporting obligations. In order to align new functionalities with major clearing members and to support market wide trends and initiatives, Derivatives Clearing Design manages regular clearing committees for ETD and OTC Derivatives and contributes actively to several industry-wide working groups. Furthermore, the section is involved in the digital transformation of the organisation currently taking place in the financial industry.

 

We are seeking a Business Data Steward with a passion for data quality, analytics, and automation.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of data governance and digital transformation across Eurex Clearing Design and Delivery. You will work cross-sectionally, supporting multiple teams in their efforts to improve their data quality, data transparency, automate processes, and deliver strategic insights.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

Data Stewardship & Data Analysis

  • Ensure adherence to Deutsche Boerse Group’s Data Governance Policy and support its implementation across Eurex Clearing’s COO area
  • Maintain and enrich metadata for key data products / assets, ensuring consistency and discoverability via the enterprise data catalog (e.g., ATLAN)
  • Monitor and support data quality initiatives, including the definition of KPIs and remediation of issues 
  • Act as a point of contact for data governance topics, coordinating with data domain owners and stewards across Eurex
  • Support the design and implementation of automated workflows and dashboards
  • Collaborate with business analysts, IT, and product teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions
  • Contribute to the development of dashboards, reports, and reconciliation tools for internal and external stakeholders

 

Cross-Sectional Collaboration

  • Operate as part of a virtual team across Clearing Design & Delivery, contributing to multiple initiatives without being tied to a single unit
  • Represent the department in group-wide forums on data governance, AI, and digitalization
  • Promote data literacy and enablement across teams by facilitating onboarding and training on data tools and standards

 

Your Profile

  • Proven experience in data stewardship, data analysis, or process automation—ideally in financial services or clearing environments
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
  • Strong understanding of data product concepts and data as a service
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Python
  • Experience with enterprise data catalogs (e.g., ATLAN) and familiarity with automation platforms or workflow tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and self-organized across multiple teams and topics
