By joining Clearstream IT, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and operating the systems that serve more than 2,500 clients worldwide. As a Functional Analyst in Settlement IT, you contribute to the design, stability, and evolution of Clearstream’s CSD settlement services on TARGET2‑Securities (T2S), focusing on functional analysis, cross‑border settlement flows, and realignment processes. In our team, you will work in an agile environment and participate in the whole project lifecycle from requirements specification and technical design to implementation and maintenance. Your key activities will be in the areas of Requirement Analysis & Functional Design, Cross‑Border & Realignment Processing, System Behaviour, Changes & Integration, Testing & Validation, and Production Support.
Your responsibilities:
- Communicate with business owners, operations teams, and business analysts across departments to understand and shape requirements.
- Understand the potential and limitations of existing processes, platforms, and technologies.
- Capture and document requirements in a detailed and understandable form.
- Support Software Engineers in understanding and implementing requirements, while also understanding technical limitations.
- Participate in testing, as well as in the investigation and resolution of production incidents.
- Maintain an open mind and understand the broad context of implementing and operating software components in a highly regulated environment.
Your profile:
- University degree in Economics, Finance, IT, or a similar field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in business/functional analysis or testing (or 2+ years for a junior role).
- A highly analytical mindset with the ability to actively listen and quickly understand the arguments and goals of different stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills to explain business and functional topics clearly to non-business audiences.
- A high degree of self-dependence, self-motivation, and a constant drive for improvement.
- A team player who collaborates effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and personalities.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Previous experience in the financial sector, knowledge of security settlement processes, and experience with SWIFT ISO15022 and ISO20022 are considered strong advantages.
- Experience with cloud technologies, agile methodologies (SCRUM), and test automation are nice-to-have skills.
- Proficiency in German, French, Luxembourgish, or Czech is a plus.
