Over 18 months, you will gain deep insights into our IT landscape, working on strategic projects, developing technical expertise, and actively shaping the future of Deutsche Börse Group. From cloud engineering and cybersecurity to software development or IT governance — you choose where you want to grow, and we help you get there.

Your area of work:

  • Chief Technology Office (CTO): Drive the strategic alignment between business and technology. Topics include cloud & network infrastructure, automation, robotics, innovation enablement, and emerging technologies.
  • Corporate IT: Shape a modern digital workplace for our global teams by working on enterprise applications, workplace solutions, and collaboration platforms.

  • Group Security: Support our intelligence‑driven security function, covering cybersecurity, information security, physical security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Derivatives & Cash Trading IT: Develop and operate high‑performance trading platforms for Eurex, Xetra, and partner exchanges — including low‑latency systems, testing frameworks, and reliability engineering.
  • Clearing & Risk IT: Work on the development of clearing and risk management systems, including data analytics, risk engines, and the StatistiX Data Warehouse.
  • IT Governance, Risk & Transformation: Shape group‑wide IT governance, strategic frameworks, risk management standards, and transformation programs.
Your responsibilities:

During your rotations, you will be part of real engineering and IT delivery teams. This structure ensures a mix of technical depth, hands-on delivery, and strategic exposure. Typical responsibilities may include:

  • Developing automation scripts and internal tools (e.g., Python, Java, C++)
  • Supporting cloud engineering or migration activities
  • Working on cybersecurity, incident response, or security monitoring tasks
  • Contributing to data pipelines, analytics dashboards, or reporting tools
  • Enhancing internal applications, APIs or system components
  • Supporting testing, reliability engineering, and performance improvements
  • Participating in innovation topics such as AI, automation, robotics, or emerging tech

This program also includes:

  • Tailored rotation plan: Three individually designed assignments across our CIO/COO division.
  • Responsibility from day one: Take ownership of your tasks and contribute to impactful projects.
  • Space to innovate: Explore new ideas and shape your own professional development path.
  • Continuous learning: Regular feedback, technical trainings, and personal development opportunities.
  • Dedicated program manager: Your career coach and sparring partner throughout the program.
  • Strong network: Early exposure to international teams, fellow trainees, and cross‑functional partners.

You’re a great fit if you:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Graduated within the last 1–2 years (latest January 2025).
