Area of work:

 

We're developing M7 Trading, the best performing local trading solution for European intraday energy trading market. As the Head of our M7 Trading Development Unit, you will lead and grow our team of Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers and Functional Analysts. Together you will be responsible for all aspects of the M7 Trading product. You and your team will enable this by designing and delivering a high throughput, low latency 24/7 system with ever growing competitive environment.

 

As a key-stakeholder in the M7T product, you will grow a culture of strong, healthy, agile collaboration with the M7T Operations unit with a shared goal to deliver this product to the market as successfully as possible.

 

As a member of our Leadership Team, you will actively define and contribute to the Section’s targets and overall vision. You will cooperate with other team leaders to shape our Section strategy and create a robust, transparent, and effective organizational structure.

 

 

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Team Management & Mentorship: Lead, grow, couch and mentor a high-performing team of people in software development roles. Foster a collaborative and positive culture while managing recruitment, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Strategic & Technical Leadership: Define and execute the software development vision and strategy,
  • ensuring alignment with business goals. Drive technical innovation by staying current with industry
  • trends and overseeing key architectural decisions.
  • Project Delivery & Execution: Oversee the entire software development lifecycle from planning to
  • deployment. Support your teams so projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
  • Quality & Architectural Oversight: Foster development best practices, coding standards, and robust
  • review protocols to ensure code quality. Guide the evolution of the software architecture to support
  • scalability, reliability, and performance.

 

 

Your profile:

 

  • Leadership skills to lead and manage technical teams, preferably within highly available and highly
  • performant products portfolio.
  • Strong understanding of agile software development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Growth mindset.
  • Proficient in English in reading, writing and communicating

 

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Hands-on experience with software development technologies (e.g. Java/Kotlin, RabbitMQ, Kafka,
  • gRPC, React)
  • Energy trading related experience
  • Experience with Cloud and DevOps principles
  • Bachelor’s+ degree in computer science or a related field
  • German language knowledge
