Your area of work
As an intern / working student in the Group Risk Framework & Quantification team, you will support a team in the Group Risk Management function, an integral component of the management and control of Deutsche Börse Group. Effective and efficient risk management safeguards the Group's continued existence and enables it to achieve its corporate goals. The mission of the GRF&Q team is to ensure robust Risk Management Frameworks and Risk Methodologies, in line with regulatory requirements, auditor expectations, and industry best practice. You will take an active role in our team – with diverse, interesting, and challenging tasks.
Your responsibilities:
- You will be involved in a multitude of core framework topics incl. Risk Identification, Risk models (esp. stress tests) documentation, review of upcoming/ new regulations, and ESG Framework
- Furthermore, you will learn how a Group Framework must consider the different requirements of the various banks, investment firms and entities within the group
- You will be involved in the development of innovative approaches and ideas in the context of Risk Culture
- You will support the team with risk quantification topics incl. implementation of existing risk assessment models and automation of processes
- You will also help the team with various adminsitrative and organisational tasks incl. website design and coordination of stakeholder input
Your profile:
- You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognised university as a regular student and have completed at least 2 semesters.
(Study focus in the field of economics, finance, business, mathematics, sciences or other relevant fields are a plus) - You are interested in the current state and future developments of financial regulation and the financial industry
- Your analytical skills and your willingness to learn help you to quickly familiarise yourself with new topics
- You collaborate well with others, work well in a team, and also have the ability to work independently
- You have advanced knowledge of MS Office (in particular MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point). Knowledge of VBA and Python would be an advantage
- You are fluent in written and spoken English
