Your area of work:
The PTIT Operations & Governance department is mainly responsible for the provisioning CPU, disk, SAN and IT Operating Systems to the Core IT Operations applications. The PaaS IaaS Unit team ensures the management of mainframe servers and supporting infrastructure including the z/OS and zLinux operating systems as well (Capacity Planning, Disaster Recovery, Asset Management, etc.).
Your responsibilities:
Systems Administration activities include to implement, integrate and maintain hardware and software ensuring quality cost-effective services and to provide effective and efficient problem resolution in order to achieve the highest levels of availability, reliability and performance.
- RedHat & SuSE Linux Operating System installation, upgrade and maintenance (patches, tuning, etc.)
- z/OS Third party software installation and maintenance
- Spectrum Protect backup infrastructure.
- SAN disk & tape management. Storage management.
- Analyse system problems and resolution
- Prepare and maintain documentation
- Implementation of security controls
- Comply with audit and security requirements
- Operation includes on-call duty distributed among the team (an average of 1-2 shifts incl. on-call duty per 6 weeks expected)
- Linux server management in Cloud
Your profile:
- University degree in Computer Science (or equivalent through business experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant technical discipline
- Profound Linux skills in installing and maintaining
- Spectrum Protect backup infrastructure management
- Cloud experience
- Some mainframe background is of benefit.
- Technical skills are essential to the position and will be validated through a technical interview.
