Your area of work
Trading & Clearing (T&C) is a division within Deutsche Börse Group and home of Xetra, Eurex, 360T as well es the European Energy Exchange. The Trading & Clearing Strategy section supports the development of the long-term organic and inorganic growth strategy from a division perspective. It maintains an ongoing business intelligence, manages organic and inorganic strategic projects, and acts as the interface to other areas within Deutsche Börse. The Strategy & Initiatives team serves as a Center of Excellence for Project Management and ensures overall alignment of the change portfolio with the business strategy.
As a Project Manager you actively contribute to the execution of the Trading & Clearing strategy and thus the delivery on our strategic ambitions. You are responsible for planning, executing and closing projects in line with our organizational frameworks and regulatory requirements. You oversee all aspects of projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor progress and report on status to upper management. As member of the Strategy & Initiatives team, you additionally contribute to the creation and execution of a Portfolio Management function for major entities of the Trading & Clearing division.
Your responsibilities
- You fully understand the business background and objectives of a T&C project and the functional requirements to achieve them. You act as a content and process driven project manager
- Over a typical project timeline of more than a year, you actively manage a project team of multiple streams with 30+ people assigned from various areas across business, IT, operations and regulatory functions
- You manage relationships and coordinate stakeholders on different organizational levels, and you report to senior management project sponsors
- You take responsibility for defining scope, goals, and deliverables and the creation of aligned governance structures, project plans and timelines
- You monitor project progress and adjust for changes (Scope, Budget, Timeline, Risk management) based on your deep understanding of the project deliverables, issues and dependencies
- You ensure projects are delivered on scope, completed on time, and meet external & internal quality standards (incl. documentation), regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations
Your profile
- You have at least 5 years professional experience as Project Manager and demonstrate strong competences following both waterfall and agile principles. PMI/PMP certification is a plus
- You have a good knowledge of financial market functionalities, and you understand the T&C business model
- You are focused on delivery and highly committed to your tasks and responsibilities
- You are able to lead and motivate teams, have excellent communication skills and can adjust to the level of seniority of your key stakeholders
- Your profile is rounded off by excellent MS Office application knowledge (including SharePoint and MS Teams, and a good understanding of implementation management in Jira
- German language skills will be an asset; proficiency in written and spoken English is a must
