Your area of work
As part of the section Regulation & Compliance, you will play a key role in ensuring Eurex Clearing AG’s full compliance with national and international regulations. The aim of the section Regulation & Compliance is to protect Eurex Clearing AG from damages caused by the non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations and to prevent potential monetary and reputational risks.
The unit CCP Regulation focuses on regulatory and supervisory topics, e.g. govern and manage the relation with national and international regulators, lead regulatory streams in national and internal business initiatives, advise the Executive Board of Eurex Clearing AG on regulatory obligations, and facilitate compliance with laws and regulations of Eurex Clearing AG’s business operations and services.
We also advise on cross-border service offering restrictions due to our set of different licenses as well as perform assessments to ensure compliance with the variety of connected regulations. Lastly, the unit CCP Regulation coordinates, assures quality as well as represents Eurex Clearing AG in international exercises conducted by European and supra national bodies like ESMA, CPMI, IOSCO, and FSB.
Located in our headquarter in Eschborn you will work in a team to ensure regulatory compliance applying all necessary organizational and technical measures.
Your Responsibilities
- Support regulatory projects and initiatives, ensuring proper evaluation and documentation of regulatory requirements on national, European and international level
- Thereby, conduct systematic screening and analysis of new or amended laws and regulations to assess their relevance and impact on Eurex Clearing AG
- Support internal stakeholders of Eurex Clearing AG in interpreting and implementing of regulatory obligations as well as internal policies, including comprehensive documentation, and ensuring compliance
- Prepare regulatory documentation, internal guidelines, and regulatory compliance assessments
- Draft responses to regulatory consultations related to Eurex Clearing AG, also in coordination with other legal entities within DBG
- Support the internal coordination of requests by national and international regulators of Eurex Clearing AG
- Support regulatory stream leads in business initiatives and licensing processes
- Contribute regulatory expertise to cross-functional projects
Your Profile
- University degree in business administration, economics, law, finance, or another relevant field
- Initial or advanced experience with regulatory requirements in the financial services industry; exposure to financial market infrastructures, clearing houses, or exchanges is an advantage
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as EMIR and CPMI‑IOSCO Principles for FMIs would be beneficial
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review legal/regulatory texts and translate them into clear, actionable requirements
- Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven working style
- Ability to communicate complex topics in a concise and understandable way
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; German language skills are an asset
