Deutsche Börse Group is one of the largest exchange organizations worldwide. As a financial marketplace organizer, the company provides a portfolio of services covering the entire process chain: securities and derivatives trading and clearing, netting and transaction settlement, custody and provision of market information. Information Technology designs, builds and operates the technological infrastructure of the company. These highly integrated and automated IT systems are essential to our success. The ETD Clearing Implementation section is mainly responsible for the development and maintenance of the Eurex Clearing applications and their components.

We are seeking a skilled Java developer to join the Reference Data & Controller unit. You will participate alongside an agile, multi-cultural team of skilled developers to maintain, extend and further develop our Java application. This involves ensuring the seamless operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of our application, thereby contributing significantly to the organization's success. Our application is steering, orchestrating and monitoring business- and technical processes that are designed in BPMN. Our containerized application is deployed into an OpenShift cluster, uses Jenkins for CI/CD and other industry proven standards and technologies.
 

Your responsibilities:

  • Design, build and test of a Java EE application that steers and orchestrates business processes and other workflows.
  • Creating and extending BPMN process models using the Activiti and Camunda Framework.
  • Maintaining and creating CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins.
  • On-boarding new technologies and pushing significant changes and initiatives within your product.
  • Write unit- and integration tests to deliver a high-quality application.
  • Support during the rollout phase of new releases and release introductions.
  • Maintenance and issue resolution of the Clearing application in the production environment.
  • Identify solutions and develop them from their initial design stage all the way through to production.

 

Your profile:

  • Strong proficiency in Java programming and several years of experience in the development of Java EE applications
  • Experience with DevOps deployment technologies like Docker, Kubernetes or Jenkins.
  • Expertise in SQL-databases.
  • Experience in the usage of Maven.
  • Competent handling of Git.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, in verbal and written form. German is an asset.
  • A passion for learning and improving coding skills and keeping up-to-date with industry trends.

 

Good to have skills:

  • Knowledge of BPMN-Frameworks like Activiti, Camunda or Flowable.
  • Experience in the development of Web GUIs using JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Camel.
  • Experience in Cloud development and with Cloud applications.
  • Basic knowledge about Ansible.
  • Kubernetes or OpenShift knowledge and experience in the containerization of applications.
  • Command script development and execution on Linux.
