Your area of work:
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) area is at the heart of the Information Technology division of Deutsche Börse Group. The CTO area develops and operates the group-wide IT infrastructure (network, data centers and Cloud), the Group Data & Advanced Analytics and the Enterprise Architecture which significantly contribute to Deutsche Börse Group overall strategy. The CTO area drives digital transformation and leverages innovation while keeping production operations stable are the core pillars of the shared services. 

Within the CTO Area, a new team for Cloud Governance will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring Cloud Governance with a focus on IaaS and PaaS solutions for the main Cloud Service Providers Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure. As associate in the Cloud Governance team, you will work directly with Deutsche Börse’s IT area including Cloud Center of Excellence, IT Governance, Enterprise Architecture and Security teams and contribute to the compliant cloud transformation.

The team defines and monitors controls around the compliant cloud usage, liaises with Cloud Service Providers on follow ups to assurance reports such as SOC2, drives the service management around hyper scaler services, performs risk assessments, support application owners by defining and testing Exit Plans and keeps the Cloud Target Operating Model in sync with the organizational development of DBG. 

The unit is instrumental in shaping the new cloud governance framework and to continuously improve cloud operations, as well as leading action and execution through transparent monitoring and reporting.

We actively support CIO management in decision making and provide smart and practical guidance to achieve cloud excellence in line with current and future regulatory and technological developments.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Champion the successful operation of dedicated parts of the Cloud Governance Framework
  • Collect and assess KPIs with respective tooling and reporting 
  • Derive cloud compliance requirements from legal and regulatory changes and advise on the regulatory compliance approach
  • Actively support cloud governance owned processes including the cloud exit plan creation and exit testing procedures as well as the service management process
  • Understand and assess risks for cloud platforms and platform services to include into the Cloud Governance reporting
  • Be a trusted contact for application owners, 2nd line control functions and IT security specialists.
  • Actively support communication around results of assigned cloud controls
  • Support maintenance and continuous development of the cloud control catalogue

 

Your profile:

  • You have completed your university degree in Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or similar 
  • You have ideally 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in IT Governance and/or IT Risk Management or developer of cloud based applications
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices for cloud computing, such as BSI C5 and CSA CCM are an asset
  • You have an understanding of cloud computing concepts with a focus on GCP and / or Azure and at least a theoretical understanding of concepts around defining and measuring OKRs and KPIs
  • A proactive and hands-on mentality with emphasis on teamwork rounds off your profile
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; German language skills will be an asset
