Your area of work:

Clearstream Data Management & Storage unit builds, maintains and operates the company Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions and various applications related to them.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer student, you will play an important role in development of new data products for internal users and also for our clients. Your internship will consist in analyzing, designing and implementing solutions based on requirements from different business areas. You will participate in transforming proof of concept prototypes into working IT solutions. You will work closely with data scientist and functional analyst teams during design and testing phase. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of team working with the new modern data lake and cloud tools.


Your responsibilities:

  • Help with analysis and integration of business use cases into the CDL application via ingestion and manipulation of data in python

  • Assist during the test phases the business analysts and the data scientists

  • Promote data collaboration, orchestration, quality, security, access, and ease of use

  • Write and maintain operational and technical documentation and perform tasks in Agile methodology

  • Explore data patterns and relations using SQL query language

  • Participate in investigation of data inconsistencies and application defects and follow on fixing them using Jira bug tracking tool

 

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme with a recognized institution focusing in an IT related discipline, and can provide an internship agreement, OR have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or similar for no more than 6 months

  • Experience in one or more programming languages, preferably Python

  • Ability to bring both engineering and operational (DevOps) mindset to the role

  • Version control, ideally Git

  • Strong team player willing to cooperate with colleagues across office locations and functions

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; French/German language skills will be an asset
