Your area of work

As a working student (f/m/d) your work will provide for valuable input to the Unit Regulation in the Department Market Data + Services. 

 

Your responsibilities: 

  • You will work together with the “Team Regulation, Market Data + Services” and will jointly be responsible with the team for setting up a new format to screen pre-defined information sources to identify new or changing EU (and UK) regulations, in the area of Market Data, data as “the new oil of the economy”, and the evolving EU Digital Economy 
  • Besides the collection, review and further processing of information, you will inform and present your general initial findings to your colleagues for further analysis and activities, and occasionally to MD+S management
  • Furthermore, you will support the team with your excellent research abilities, and your skills in Power Point and Excel as needed
  • Your research contributions are indispensable for the development of fact-based position papers to be shared with EU regulators and politicians
  • Last but not least, you will explore how AI frameworks could help to improve analytical and information-gathering processes (no programming skills required)

 

Your profile: 

  • You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student and have completed at least 3 semesters of legal (including LLB), economics, business studies, (business) informatics, or other relevant fields
  • You are interested in the development of EU Financial Markets and EU politics, and you are fluent in written and spoken English
  • You have very good knowledge in MS Office, SharePoint, and Outlook
  • Your ability to work independently as well as within a team will round up your profile, as well as your sense of responsibility, and strong analytical skills, which help you to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics
  • Thanks to your cooperative manner, you quickly find your way into the team
