1. Who may participate in the Financial Trainee Programme?

The Financial Trainee Programme is aimed at graduates from all over the world. The prerequisite is a Master’s degree in business or economics with a focus on finance and controlling, or equivalent. Bachelor’s graduates with an outstanding degree, relevant internships and some professional experience may also apply. 

2. When does the Financial Trainee Programme start?

We have flexible start dates throughout the year and can take your preferences and availability into account.

3. Is there an application deadline for the Financial Trainee Programme?

There is no application deadline for this programme, as we are looking for qualified trainees throughout the year. 

4. Which degree is required for the Financial Trainee Programme?

The requirement is a Master’s degree in business or economics with a focus on finance and controlling, or equivalent. Bachelor’s graduates with an outstanding degree, relevant internships and some professional experience may also apply.

5. What does the application process for the Financial Trainee Programme look like?

In a first step, you must apply for the desired trainee position via our online application tool. Please upload all necessary documents including your CV, motivational letter, overview of grades, degree certificate and, if applicable, your employment references. 

After checking your documents, we will invite you for a Skype or MS Teams interview with the respective department and an HR representative. If we believe you are good match for us, you will receive an invitation to our interview day, which will take place virtually or on-site. On this day, we will get to know each other better and you will work together with a group of other candidates on a business case study. After successful completion of the interview day, we will send you feedback shortly afterwards and, if applicable, offer you a place on our Financial Trainee Programme.

6. Which language should I use in my application documents?

As English is our corporate language, we ask you to prepare your application documents in English only.

7. To whom may I address my motivational letter?

You can send your motivational letter directly to Simona Englisch. Please remember that you can only apply for the trainee programme via our online application tool.

8. Which documents are required as part of my application?

Your complete application documents include your curriculum vitae, a motivational letter, an overview of your grades, final certificates and, if applicable, employment references. 

9. Can I apply for the Financial Trainee Programme even if I already have several years of work experience?

If you have a maximum of two years of professional experience, you can apply for the Financial Trainee Programme. If you have more than two years of professional experience, you will find open positions in our job market that may better match your profile. 

10. How can I be recommended for the Financial Trainee Programme by an employee of Deutsche Börse Group?

11. Can I apply for the Financial Trainee Programme as a non-EU citizen?

Yes, of course. In this context, please understand that you will have to bear the associated costs, e.g. for visa applications or a move.

12. What are my career prospects after the Financial Trainee Programme? Will I receive a permanent employment contract?

During the programme, you will gain various insights into the CFO area of Deutsche Börse Group. After successful completion of the Financial Trainee Programme, we may be able to offer you a permanent position.
