Your area of work
As Business Controller IMS, you will actively support senior management to steer the area while providing all-important information at the right time. In a dynamic, client and technology-oriented environment you will be in charge of controlling tasks and defining new ways to measure and report relevant financial information to enable the management to identify opportunities and risks. You will act as single point of contact for the management of the IMS businesses.
The Financial Planning and Analytics Section supports Deutsche Börse Group IMS management in planning, coordination and management accounting activities by providing the necessary tools and information. It is responsible, in particular, for the planning and forecasting process, internal budget and cost management, revenue controlling, and internal financial reporting.
Your respronsibilities
- Managing month-end closing activities across business and Group functions
- Independent preparation and presentation of financial reports for the Executive Management of the SimCorp & ISS Stoxx Area
- Responsibility for planning, forecasting and monthly reporting for SimCorp & ISS Stoxx in liaison with business
- Preparation of budget performance reviews including variance analysis
- Preparation of ad hoc analysis
- Active development of the existing financial (SAP based) reporting
- Participation in the implementation of new controlling requirements
- Contribution to project related work around M&A, Governance & Financing required
- Experienced in conducting screening and due diligence support as part of the continuous M&A activities
- Benchmarking of the IMS segment against the main competitors
Your profile
- University degree in business administration and/or comparable education
- A minimum of 6-7 years work experience in Controlling and Financial Reporting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Excellent analytical and technical skills, proficient in use of MS Office, S4 Hana, SAP AFO
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal, ability to communicate effectively across all seniority levels, in English, German in addition would be an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to: prioritize competing responsibilities, work under pressure, meet challenging deadlines and capability to build and maintain effective business relationships
- Persuasive, independent and accurate way of working with a proactive structured approach
