The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) area is at the heart of the Information Technology division of Deutsche Börse Group. The CTO area develops and operates the group-wide IT infrastructure (network, data centers and Cloud), the Group Data & Advanced Analytics and the Enterprise Architecture which significantly contribute to Deutsche Börse Group overall strategy. The CTO area drives digital transformation and leverages innovation while keeping production operations stable are the core pillars of the shared services.
Within the CTO Area, Cloud / Core Infrastructure department enables the usage of public cloud services from Microsoft and Google and provides core infrastructure services such as data center management and non-trading network operations.
You will drive the transformation of modern technologies and infrastructure in a highly regulated capital markets environment; advance innovation and contribute to Deutsche Börse Group’s overall strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of our end-to-end automation framework in Python, establishing best practices for creating testable, maintainable, and resilient code.
- Take ownership of the technical delivery of the integration strategy, guiding the team in building robust data flows between ITSM/CMDB, identity sources, and network platforms.
- Design and build complex, multi-step workflows that translate business requirements into precise, enforceable network security policies on platforms like VMware NSX, Guardicore, Illumio or ColorTokens.
- Act as the technical mentor for the development team, leading code reviews, unblocking technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement in our engineering practices.
Your Profile:
- At least 4-5 years of experience in integration engineering
- At least 2 years as a Technical Leader
- Software Design & Development: Strong, proven experience designing and building scalable backend services and automation workflows in Python.
- API & Systems Integration: Proven ability to design and deliver robust integrations with enterprise platforms (ServiceNow, CMDBs) using REST APIs and message queues.
- Technical Leadership: Proven ability to mentor other engineers, lead technical discussions, and drive projects to completion within an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Network Automation & Security: Strong, practical knowledge of network Micro-Segmentation concepts (L3, ACLs) and hands-on experience automating platforms such as NSX, ACI, ColorTokens, Illumio, or Guardicore.
- Cloud, Containers & DevOps: Experience building and deploying containerized applications for cloud platforms (GCP, Azure), preferably with Kubernetes (K8s) or serverless technologies. Strong familiarity with CI/CD principles.
- Full proficiency in English is a must
