About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and quality-driven QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with software engineers, functional analysts, and product stakeholders to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software solutions. You will play a key role in designing, automating, and executing tests across the software development lifecycle while contributing to the continuous improvement of our quality assurance practices and testing strategy.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software engineers, functional analysts, and product teams to understand new features, refine requirements, and define meaningful test scenarios.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain integration, end-to-end (E2E), regression, and exploratory tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Develop new automated test cases and continuously improve and maintain existing test suites.
- Design and execute functional test cases, both manual and automated.
- Ensure compliance with established product testing standards, quality requirements, and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews with a focus on testability, maintainability, and overall product quality.
- Ensure test coverage aligns with business-critical workflows, system integrations, and trading scenarios.
- Validate integrations between services, APIs, messaging systems, and external components.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, usability concerns, and potential system risks.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, support root cause analysis, and collaborate with software engineers on resolution.
- Document testing activities, test results, and quality metrics in a clear and structured manner.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, frameworks, and automation practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into CI pipelines and ensure rapid feedback on software changes.
- Contribute to the definition, implementation, and evolution of the overall testing strategy.
Your Profile
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and Agile software development practices.
- Passion for software quality, ownership, and continuous learning.
- Experience designing and executing tests at different levels, including integration, end-to-end (E2E), regression, and exploratory testing.
- Ability to review, understand, and contribute to automated tests implemented in Java or Kotlin.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience using Git for source code version control and collaboration within software development teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex systems and identify risks or gaps.
- Familiarity with CI pipelines and modern software development workflows.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with software engineers, functional analysts, and product stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
Would Be an Advantage
- Experience with tools and technologies such as GitHub, Docker, and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as RabbitMQ.
- Experience with build and dependency management tools such as Gradle or Maven.
- Experience working with trading platforms, energy markets, or other business-critical transaction systems.
