Your area of work

As a Senior Securities Lending Product Manager, you will play a leading role in shaping, developing, and commercializing Clearstream’s securities lending and borrowing proposition within the broader Collateral, Lending & Liquidity Solutions (CLLS) franchise. The role combines strategic product leadership with practical product ownership across securities lending and borrowing, aligned with collateral management and liquidity, settlement efficiency, regulation, risk, digital transformation, and commercial growth.

You will drive the evolution of securities lending solutions for various clients’ segments, ensuring the proposition remains competitive, scalable, risk-aware, operationally robust, and aligned with client demand, market structure, regulatory expectations, and digital capabilities. You will work closely with Trading, Sales and Relationship Management, Client Service, Collateral Management and Liquidity Products, Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Tax, Finance, and Pricing to translate market opportunities into deliverable product outcomes and resilient day-to-day operating models.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Define, support and execute the strategic roadmap for securities lending and borrowing solutions, aligning product development with client needs, market trends, regulatory change, operational resilience, and the wider CLLS growth strategy.
  • Identify opportunities across securities lending, funding and financing, balance-sheet optimization, and settlement efficiency, translating overlapping needs into scalable product capabilities and commercial solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end product initiatives from concept and business case through design, governance, implementation, launch, operational readiness, post-launch performance review, and continuous enhancement.
  • Develop clear product positioning, value propositions, pricing approaches, commercial proposals, and go-to-market materials that support client adoption and differentiate Clearstream in the securities finance market.
  • Act as a senior subject matter expert on securities lending market structure, lender and borrower dynamics, collateral flows, settlement efficiency, and regulatory developments including SFTR, CSDR, T+1, and evolving capital and liquidity requirements.
  • Translate regulatory and market changes, into practical product, operational, legal, and control requirements. Coordinate the alignment across Product, Legal, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and client-facing teams.
  • Drive digital transformation across the securities lending proposition, including data-led decision-making, automation, workflow optimization, digital client channels, analytics, AI-enabled use cases, APIs, KPIs, and platform scalability.
  • Use market data, client feedback, trading insights, operational metrics, incident trends, and performance analytics to identify opportunities for revenue growth, risk reduction, operational efficiency, and improved client experience.
  • Maintain strong awareness of risk, credit, collateral eligibility, control frameworks, and operational dependencies to ensure the robustness of the securities lending proposition
  • Represent Clearstream at industry conferences, client events, market forums, trade associations, and working groups, contributing to thought leadership and strengthening the firm’s market presence.
  • Prepare and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across Sales and Relationship management, Trading, Client Service, Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Tax, Finance, and Pricing to ensure successful product delivery, adoption, and operational sustainability.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, commercially focused, risk-aware, and innovation-oriented product culture.

Your profile

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Financial Markets, or a related discipline; an MBA or relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
  • 7+ years of experience in securities lending, securities finance, collateral management, market infrastructure, product management, or related capital markets activities.
  • Good understanding of securities lending and borrowing, funding and financing market dynamics
  • High awareness of the links between securities lending, collateral management, liquidity, funding, capital efficiency, risk, credit, control frameworks, and regulatory constraints in a financial market infrastructure environment.
  • Proven track record of executing product strategy, building business cases, managing roadmaps, defining pricing approaches, and delivering complex cross-functional initiatives in regulated financial services.
  • Ability to translate market and regulatory change into clear product impacts, operational requirements, legal documentation needs, control considerations, and implementation priorities.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to convert market intelligence, client feedback, trading insights, operational metrics, and industry developments into practical product enhancements and revenue opportunities.
  • Strong digital and data orientation, with practical understanding of analytics, automation, workflow tools, dashboards, AI-enabled use cases, APIs, platform transformation, KPIs, and Agile delivery concepts.
  • Experience engaging in industry forums, client events, working groups, conferences, or market associations,
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, build consensus across matrix teams, and drive clarity in complex, technical, or ambiguous situations.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills,
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
