As a central securities depository (CSD) headquartered in Frankfurt/Main, Clearstream Banking AG operates the post-trading business – i.e. issuance, settlement and custody – for German securities.

Your area of work:

As a working student (f/m/d) in the Issuer Services & New Digital Markets/ Business Planning & Control team you will support us in further growing our D7 digital post-trade platform and thereby help us transform the financial industry, working towards our goal of #DigitisingFinancialInstruments.The Business Planning & Control Unit within the Issuer Services & New Digital Markets Area is the oil of the D7 engine. The team acts as an enabler, framework provider, internal control unit and structural pacemaker.

The Business Planning & Control team ensures efficient project management and execution as well as drives continuous improvement of the project organization. It builds and coordinates (vendor) partnerships, ensures the proper contractual basis and controls the budget consumption. Managing project and budget risks is part of the team’s role, as well as ensuring efficient and proper communication between all D7 streams and stakeholders to support the overall success of the D7 program.

You will be part of an international and highly motivated D7 program team. Your areas of responsibilities will, amongst others, comprise tasks in cross-divisional & cross-locational projects, active stakeholder management, contract management and general support of the D7 program. By joining us, you will set the cornerstone working in a successful international company, experiencing innovation in the securities services industry firsthand. 

 

Your responsibilities

Vendor Management & Contracts

  • You will support  the RfP processes for the selection and onboarding of external vendors for the D7 program by involving all relevant stakeholders across business, operations and IT
  • You will support the end-to-end creation of intra-group (Service Description Statements/ SDS) and external contracts (Statement of Work/ SOW)
  • You will support the vendor onboarding & offboarding process incl. SAP data management, man-aging requests for relevant access rights, resolve SAP-related technical issues with the help of user helpdesk and IT support, incl. regular reviews of access rights for all vendors working in the D7 program etc.

PMO

  • You will work actively with the PMO on project governance and relevant approval processes regarding vendor selection and contract processing
  • You will manage the general D7 inbox, ensuring an efficient governance meeting schedule for the management
  • You will proactively contribute to enable synergies (scope, timelines, service provider allocation etc.) amongst the different D7 streams, aiming for program efficiency

Your profile

  • You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student
  • You are eager to learn and comfortable with working independently
  • You have strong communication, teamwork, analytical skills, and you can quickly familiarize yourself with new topics
  • You have very good knowledge in MS Office, in particular SharePoint, Power Point and Excel, SAP knowledge would be an asset
  • Ideally, you have already gained first practical experiences in the context of Project and Contract Management
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English, German would be an asset
