Your area of work

As part of the Trading Design and Delivery department, the Trading Design team is focussing on the design, implementation, roll-out and monitoring of new functionality affecting the T7 trading platform of Group Deutsche Boerse. This includes both internal and customer interaction as well as the analysis of trading data to further understand a new requirement and to shape the Eurex derivatives markets in the future. 

The Trading Design team has established itself as central coordinator between business departments within Eurex and the IT. As a result, the team is involved in all major strategic business and IT initiatives that impact the T7 trading platform. In addition, the team proactively promotes and supports the development of the T7 trading system with own concepts and ideas.

We are looking for a Functional Analyst who will support the design and implementation of various requirements across financial derivative markets with impact on the T7 trading platform. You will be part of a team that is involved in the realization of highly diverse projects within Eurex and will, therefore, accompany an efficient and goal orientated implementation of requirements which includes the concept phase, business requirement analysis phase, testing and roll-out to production.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Create, analyse and evaluate new business requirements with impact on market structure and with impact on the design of trading functionality supported by the T7 trading platform
  • In combination with the analysis of new business requirements or as single task, analyse and evaluate market data to monitor the impact of changes on trading behaviour and on market structure
  • Contribute by creating presentations for management and clients covering market structure topics and respective data analysis
  • Serve as key contact for questions related to the trading system and its functionality and models
  • Strong communication, coordination and information exchange with Trading IT, including review of all IT relevant documents
  • Professional client interaction and support to improve and enhance the existing trading functionality, and the understanding of customers of upcoming changes 

 

Your profile

  • You have completed your university degree (or comparable qualification) with financial focus and/or mathematical/scientific background
  • You have already gained first practical experience in the financial sector and in creating requirement documents, knowledge in financial derivatives is an advantage  
  • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to handle complex and comprehensive data sets
  • You are motivated and have a self-confident and result-oriented way of working as well as a structured approach to find solutions and the ability to work cooperatively
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • You also have a competent at handling MS Office applications, programming knowledge (Python, SQL)
  • You are proficient in written and spoken English, German is an advantage
