Your career at Deutsche Börse Group

Your area of work:

As an IT Architect, you will join the Cloud & Architecture Office within Clearstream Post‑Trade IT. In this role, you will contribute to enterprise‑wide architecture governance, shape the Post‑Trade target architecture, and guide product teams in applying architectural principles and best practices.

You will work at the crossroads of business requirements, regulatory expectations, and technology delivery. Your work will span Enterprise Architecture, solution assessment, and architecture governance, leveraging frameworks such as TOGAF and Archimate to ensure transparency, consistency, and alignment across Post‑Trade IT. This position is well‑suited for experienced professionals with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to navigate and structure complex environments, even without a deep engineering background.

Your responsibilities:

  • Prepare and contribute to IT Senior Mgmt. Meeting presentations for architecture and design‑related agenda items.
  • Conduct or support IT Impact Assessments, evaluating architectural implications, dependencies, and compliance aspects.
  • Prepare and present architecture topics to the Architecture Board, supporting decisions on fundamental Post‑Trade IT design aspects.
  • Contribute to architecture‑related content in Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), ensuring alignment with the Post‑Trade target architecture.
  • Review Business Requirements for architectural coherence, strategic alignment, and adherence to enterprise architecture principles.
  • Review Architecture & Infrastructure Planning (AIP) documents and provide guidance to ensure compatibility with the Post‑Trade landscape.
  • Assess Non‑Functional Requirements (NFRs) and review corresponding Non‑Functional Testing (NFT) approaches and plans.
  • Contribute to the evolution and modelling of the Post‑Trade IT architecture using Archimate standards and EA tooling.
  • Apply TOGAF-aligned architectural processes to support governance, capability mapping, and the definition of architecture roadmaps.

Your profile:

  • You have 5–10 years of professional experience in IT architecture, functional architecture, IT analysis, solution design, or enterprise architecture—ideally within large, complex, or regulated environments.
  • You are familiar with Enterprise Architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, and with modelling approaches like Archimate.
  • You bring a solid understanding of architectural principles, non‑functional requirements, and enterprise‑level solution design.
  • A deep technical engineering background is not required; however, you are able to assess and challenge solution designs in collaboration with technical experts.
  • You are proficient in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel; experience with JIRA and Confluence is an advantage.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and can structure and evaluate complex information effectively.
  • You have experience preparing presentations for senior stakeholders and can communicate architectural topics clearly and concisely.
  • You demonstrate excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills and feel comfortable working with cross‑functional teams.
  • You are proficient in written and spoken English.
