Field of activity

Fixed Income Business Development team is Eurex Clearing’s face to the financial industry; the team’s objective is to identify, develop and promote trading and clearing products and services. Building strong relationships with new/existing direct and indirect clients, service providers and associated industry bodies to understand requirements and impacts of the changing market and regulatory landscape to direct the development of our products and services. The overall objective is to optimise our value proposition and attractiveness of our services to expand our role as the leading European Derivatives CCP.

 

 

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Fixed Income OTC clearing & post trade service development.
  • Complete market/client research and consultations to identify, validate and commercialise new/enhanced areas of potential development opportunities.
  • Support the analysis and collection of business requirements to ensure a professional and successful transition from identification of a business case through development and launch.
  • Coordinate with key internal stakeholders to ensure approach is aligned to client/market requirements and development and launch timelines are maintained.
  • Specific emphasis on supporting client requirements, ensuring operational readiness, optimal clearing & post trade workflow efficiency and excellence in clearing member and end user experience.
  • Design and manage “go-to-market” approach to establish or build liquidity in growth products, services, client segments and jurisdictions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, business managers and project teams of both buy& sell side institutions and relevant vendor/technology companies.
  • Coordination of Business Development projects and initiatives, management/maintenance of associated Business Development database e.g. consolidation reporting, identifying and escalating key risks and issues.
  • Align across DBAG group divisions to identify areas of synergy and opportunity.
  • Planning, preparing and running of internal and external project/client related meetings and committees.
  • Collect intelligence on the competitive landscape to identity opportunity or enhance our competitive edge.
  • Highly motivated to work autonomously in a dynamic environment, willingness to constantly learn, highly organised, flexible and able to travel.

 

 

Qualifications/required skills

 

  • Min 5 years experience in financial markets, specifically, within Fixed Income OTC IRD cleared markets
  • Knowledge of Eurex Clearing OTC IRD technical, connectivity and operating workflows would be a significant advantage.
  • Experience in related post trade service, such as compression and optimisation would be preferred.
  • Project coordination/management skills are desirable.
  • Identify and translate business opportunities- able to think “out of the box” to identify opportunity and solve challenges.
  • Confident with strong communication, able to engage senior internal & external stakeholders.
  • Effective presentation skills essential -creating and delivery.
  • Well organised -able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proven ability to work alone and as part of a team with the objectives, to meet common target achievement.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
