Your area of work:
As a Senior Technical Operations Officer, you will manage the building operations and technical maintenance of Clearstream buildings in Luxembourg and the Data Center. This includes overseeing HVAC systems, electricity and more across 2 buildings, 1 Data Center and 1 back up location. This role is critical to our operations, your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a functional and efficient working environment for our colleagues. You will report to the Head Unit of Facility Management. This role requires a good level of interaction with other department of Clearstream and external partners/providers. Customer focus along with diplomacy and excellent communication skills are key for this role also due to manage suppliers / contracts. You will also need to be confident in managing project or supervise site works and workers/companies.
Flexibility might be required (working in shift and on call permanences).
Your responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of operational strategies and policies for building operations, technical maintenance, in addition to related quality and control activities
- Guarantee technical results and implement actions to correct deviations (KPI, maintenance plans, etc.).
- Manage and supervise the technical activities of external service providers.
- Provide support as required by technicians /service provider in the event of complex breakdowns or specific needs.
- Participate to the maintenance planning (at least 1x a year) and the five-year maintenance plan, estimating budget and action plan.
- Follow up on customer service requests, in compliance with current contracts.
- Ensure customer communication, particularly concerning the resolution of major incidents.
- Anticipate internal customer needs and expectations.
- Manage the Data Center's IT connection requests in collaboration with the Data Center Team
- Follow major regulations and answer audit requirements
- Be part of various building/construction projects
Your profile:
- Technical engineer (at least the equivalent of a bachelor's degree) in a field related to industry or engineering, with expertise in building technology.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in facility management, in charge of office building and Data center operations and maintenance activities
- Excellent technical knowledge of building operation and technical maintenance (HVAC, high, medium and low voltage, etc.).
- Experience in an international/public sector environment would be a significant advantage
- Good knowledge and experience of service contracts including procurement issues,
- Good knowledge of standard computer applications and office software
- Project Management skills
- Fluency in English and French – German would be considered as an asset
