Corporate IT Central Release Manager

 

Corporate IT of Deutsche Börse Group is in charge for end user workplace experience, voice & communication, application development and operations for all group processes such as Financial Core, Customer Care, Control & Corporate Processes, as well as Deutsche Börse Group’s Reference Data Platform. We also develop and operate our Enterprise Analytics and Digital Boardroom which are the core of sharing and measuring our group’s success.

You are passionate about product management, and have experience in Product Management for S/4 HANA, MDG, Microsoft Office365 / SharePoint / Exchange? Tasks/responsibilities

  • Good understanding of business processes and business process design.
  • Understands the benefits of using state of the art methods and tools and their application on an engagement; contributes to continuous development of methods and tools.
  • Participate in agile projects with an emphasis on SAP related processes.
  • Manage end to end the release process for various SAP systems & teams. (S/4Hana, CRM7, BW4, MDG)
  • Coordinate with Developer Teams in preparing for various releases (Weekly/Major/ETR’s)
  • Running Transport Checks & Signing-off requirements for productive release. 
  • Own the release process in place (E.g., Solution Manager) and plan the yearly release schedule.
  • Experience with SAP (Understanding of Objects, Transports, Transport of Copies), SAP Solution Manager, Jira, GitHub are an advantage. 
  • Communication and stakeholder management, keeping all parties involved informed and up to date with releases. 
  • Contribute to the development of the technical cutover schedules and plans to ensure they align to business cutover plans and meet business objectives.
  • Trouble shooting with developers on release issues. 
  • Facilitate business and IT team with knowledge and trainings to ensure best possible low impact rollouts. Ensure all procedures related to release / software rollouts are aligned and know.
  • Central point for 
  • All team to execute Releases.
  • All stakeholders to understand the scope of a release.
  • For all planning activities around releases and system upgrades.

 

Qualifications/required skills.

  • University degree in computer science, project management, management, or a comparable education
  • Prior experience working in SAP environments is an advantage.
  • Understanding in using an agile project methodology and dev/ops
  • Experience with SAP (Understanding of Objects, Transports, Transport of Copies), SAP Solution Manager, Jira, GitHub are an advantage. 
  • Understanding in new public Cloud solutions e.g., from Microsoft, Amazon or Google is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated willingness to explore opportunities by using SAP Cloud Platform Services e.g., Machine Learning / AI
  • Very good communications skills, own initiatives, able to work independently and excellent analytical skills round of your profile.
