Do you want to help shape energy markets? Join Energy IT development team and help us build power trading platforms used by major European energy exchanges. Our products have the highest market share in Intraday power trading in Europe. Our development teams are located in Prague, they consist of highly skilled professionals and work with the latest proven industry standard technologies.

 

For our Section "Energy IT”, we are looking for a dedicated Functional Analyst to contribute to analysis and development of our products in the agile working environment.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Analyze incoming business requirements, customer requests and issues. 
  • Write clear functional and non-functional requirements for complex trading solutions.  
  • Develop functional specifications, user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria. 
  • Follow change requests throughout their entire life cycle.  
  • Write User Manuals and keep them up to date. 
  • Document system design, processes and workflows. 
  • Translate complex technical solutions to business, and business requests to technical teams. 
  • Perform analysis of existing systems to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Provide basic technical and information support to customers. 
  • Lead and participate in estimations and provide them to customers. 
  • Participate in processes and procedures design. 
  • Support Product Owner in the prioritization process.  
  • Communicate with all relevant stakeholders. 

 

Your profile:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst in software development or in a similar position. 
  • Analytical mindset, critical thinking and strong attention to detail. 
  • Knowledge of analysis tools and techniques, such as UML, use cases, user stories, wireframes etc. 
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, negotiation and presentation skills. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience working independently and as part of a Scrum team. 
  • Ability and willingness to work on a large project with multiple stakeholders. 
  • Full working proficiency in English. 

 

Would be an advantage:

  • A degree in Computer Science or related field. 
  • Domain knowledge in Finance, Trading, or Energy Market. 
  • Professional certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA, IIBA-AAC etc). 
  • Knowledge of database design principles and ability to write SQL requests. 
  • Experience with root-cause analysis and ability to read system logs. 
  • Experience with source code editor, such as Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ IDEA or similar. 
  • Hands on experience with GitHub, Grafana, visualization tools (Visio, Draw.io, Miro), Jenkins.  
  • Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence). 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
