Your area of work:
Physical Security at Deutsche Börse Group (DBG) is embedded within the Department of Group Security and ensures the mitigation of operational risks for all physical assets, including staff, sites, and events at a global range. As part of our team, you will take a decisive role in applying a holistic risk management approach and merging the interests of internal and external stakeholders to make corporate sites and events a safe place for employees and visitors. The daily balance between operational tasks and strategic thinking required for Physical Site & Event Risk Management offers you a wide range of opportunities to strengthen your security management expertise and foster your problem-solving and communication skills.

We are looking for a hands-on Physical Security Specialist with excellent analytical thinking and a strong team spirit who can demonstrate a proven track record of understanding security management in its corporate complexity.

Your Responsibilities:

Incident & Crisis Management

  • Developing incident and crisis management procedures and planning and executing exercises to evaluate their appropriateness and efficiency.
  • Ensuring appropriate stakeholder communications in the case an incident/a crisis may occur.
  • Analysing security incidents and administrating the incident dashboard of Physical Security.
     

Physical Site Management

  • Maintaining and developing physical site security policies, guidelines, and processes compliant with regulatory requirements and international standards.
  • Steering and coordinating third-party vendors at selected DBG locations.
  • Coordinating internal and external audits, including remediation measures within designated timelines.
  • Monitoring and critically analysing existing operational security processes and measures.
  • Collaborating with other Group Security teams such as Access Control, Technical Security, Threat Intelligence, and DBG stakeholders such as Facility Management, Group Legal, Communications, Event Services, or other departments.
  • Building strong relations with external stakeholders such as law enforcement and emergency services.
     

Event Risk Management

  • Maintaining and developing event risk management policies, guidelines, and processes compliant with regulatory requirements and international standards.
  • Conducting risk assessments for events either hosted or joined by DBG staff.
  • Preparing security concepts for events and implementing security measures together with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Steering and coordinating third-party vendors onsite during business events.
     

Your profile:

  • A completed undergraduate degree in security management or other related fields is required, preferably a postgraduate degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate physical security, preferably in a global environment.
  • 1+ year of experience in steering third-party vendors.
  • Relevant certifications in risk management and crisis management are a strong asset.
  • Basic knowledge of security technologies for access control and CCTV monitoring.
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Independent and structured working approach with an approachable mindset and a strong willingness to compromise.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS 365, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • High proficiency in German and English.

 

Please note this position offers a limited contract with valilidity until 31.12.2026.
